Andreas Willisch

Andreas Willisch (born 1962) is a sociologist and organic farmer. He studied sociology at Humboldt University of Berlin from 1989 to 1997. From 1998 to 2002, he worked at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research. In 2002, he co-founded the Thünen Institute in Bollewick with Rainer Land. From 2007 to 2012, he coordinated the project network “ÜberLeben im Umbruch.” Willisch has published extensively on eastern Germany and problems of social exclusion.
