Andreas Weissen

Andreas Weissen, born in 1957 in Brig in the canton of Valais, is a journalist and educator. He helped establish the Swiss Parks Network and worked for WWF Switzerland. Weissen was a co-founder of the Alpine Initiative and chaired the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps (CIPRA). He also performed as a storyteller and organized cultural and literary events in Valais.
