Andreas Strauss

Andreas Strauß (born 1965) is a German photojournalist whose work is closely connected with mountaineering. He had been active in the mountains since his youth and worked in landscape, action, and macro photography, depending on the season. From 1987 onward, he served as a volunteer instructor for high-alpine tours with the German Alpine Club (DAV). As a mountaineering photographer, he combined his alpine experience with a search for distinctive light, moods, and motifs.
