Andreas Gold

Andreas Gold studied psychology at Heidelberg University. He received his doctorate from Goethe University Frankfurt in 1988 and completed his habilitation in psychology there in 1993. From 1994 to 1998, he was Professor of Educational Psychology at Ludwigsburg University of Education, after which he taught at Goethe University Frankfurt. He also served as the university’s vice president from 2003 to 2009. His academic fields include reading research, learning and memory, and teaching and learning research. His books include Lesen kann man lernen, Lernen leichter machen, Guter Unterricht, and Wir werden Textdetektive. Together with Marcus Hasselhorn, he edited the textbook Pädagogische Psychologie.
