Andrea Seier

Andrea Seier is a media scholar. In 2013, she completed her habilitation at the University of Vienna’s Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies with the thesis “Mikropolitik der Medien” (“The Micropolitics of Media”). Her research focuses on technologies of the self in media, micropolitics, governmentality and media, and the relationship between gender, class and media. Her publications include “Remediatisierung. Zur performativen Konstitution von Gender und Medien” (2007) and the edited volume “Gender & Medien-Reader” (2016), co-edited with Kathrin Peters.
