Andrea Fock was born in Hamburg in 1961. She studied biology, specializing in secondary plant metabolism, as well as pharmaceutical biology. In 1993, she began working for NDR television, producing magazine features and documentaries in Germany and abroad. From 1997 to 2001, she was an editor at NDR-Naturfilm; from 2002, she again worked as a freelance journalist. Together with Udo Pollmer, she published the books “Prost Mahlzeit – krank durch gesunde Ernährung” (1993) and “Liebe geht durch die Nase” (1997). In 2009, she became editor-in-chief of the EU.L.E.n.-Spiegel.
