Amir Dziri

Amir Dziri was born in Tunis in 1984. From 2004 to 2007, he studied Asian Studies at the University of Bonn, followed by studies in the History and Culture of West and South Asia from 2007 to 2010. He subsequently worked at the University of Erfurt and, from 2011 to 2017, at the Center for Islamic Theology at the University of Münster. His dissertation, accepted at Münster in 2015, focused on Islamic studies. In 2017, Dziri became Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and director of the Swiss Center for Islam and Society.
