Alois Woldan

Alois Woldan, born in 1954, studied theology, Slavic studies and comparative literature. He was a professor of East-Central European Studies at the University of Passau and a professor of Slavic literatures at the University of Vienna. His research focused on Polish and Ukrainian literature, comparative Slavic literature, and the literary culture of Galicia. He also translated from Polish and Ukrainian.
