Aldo Keel, born in Zurich, was an author, editor, translator and feuilletonist for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. He lived in Reykjavík for two years and completed a doctorate on the Icelandic writer Halldór Laxness. In Norway, he published a biography of the national poet Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, which received the Honnör Prize from the Freies Wort Foundation. His biography of the Danish writer Martin Andersen Nexø was published in German and honored with a gift of recognition from the City of Zurich. His other works include the Norwegian book “Bjørnson im Kampf für Europas unterdrückte Völker”.
