Reviewed by saloméfirst off- this book got me out of a huge reading slump. It got my love for reading back. I loved how easily I could immerse myself into this world. there is just something about the victorian era of London that always gets me. Audrey Rose is such a like-able fmc, i couldn’t name you one bad thing about her. She goes against the norm of being a female in the 1800s and does what she wants, but still embraces her femininity. I grew to like her a lot. Thomas is a flirty, brilliant and intelligent male character. I cannot blame Audrey Rose for her feelings towards him. I couldn’t imagine someone better for her. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that I quickly figured out who Jack the Ripper was. It was pretty obvious unfortunately but I must say, the way it was revealed was pretty well done. I will definitely continue this book series and see what the next part got in it.
