Reviewed by AnnieFür mich persönlich bisher das schwächste Buch der Reihe. Hab das 1. und 2. sehr geliebt, aber dieses Buch kann ich nicht richtig greifen. Ich war teils verwirrt von den Charakteren und konnte mir viele Szenen nicht richtig bildlich vorstellen. Und außerdem hatte ich von Anfang bis Ende eine Abneigung gegen Mephistopheles. Das Buch hat nicht wirklich Spaß gemacht, auch wenn die Crime Story gut war, aber ich hätte gerne mehr Thomas Cresswell gehabt. Thomas is the only one. ❤️

Die beiden Männer können einem echt nur leid tun… Wo wir schon von Männern sprechen: Ich hätte am Anfang NIE gedacht dass die Alte so viel Chemie mit unserem liebsten Zaubermeister entwickeln könnte, aber damn! Und Thomas… ach Thomas. Ich reihe ihn ganz offiziell an die erste Stelle meiner absoluten Lieblings-Buch-Männer (sorry Rhysand). Men written by women on 🔝

Reviewed by ConnyIch LIEBE diese Reihe, liebe die Charaktere, das Setting, die generelle Storyline und ich liebe auch das Setting dieses Bandes ... was ich allerdings überhaupt nicht liebe, ist es, wenn das wundervolle Liebespaar, das sich über ein oder zwei Bände hinweg erst angenähert und nun endlich glücklich zusammen ist, (spoiler) Probleme im Paradies hat. Insbesondere, wenn es so ist, wie in diesem Buch. Noch dazu hat diese Spannung irgendwie genervt, da es, nur damit es diesen Konflikt gibt, mehr oder weniger Plot Holes gegeben hat (also die Charaktere hätten sich nicht so verhalten wenn das Ziel der Autorin nicht ausdrücklich gewesen wäre, dieses Problem in die Beziehung zu bringen, yk?)... Ach egal, mich stört es nur momentan umso mehr, da es im letzten Buch, das ich gelesen hab (Zum Teufel mit der Liebe) GENAUSO war. Bin äußerst frustriert.

It is - by far - my favourite book in the series at the moment, and I can't wait for the fourth book. I want more Thomas Cresswell please. And Mephistopheles. How could Kerri Maniscalco create such funny, witty, arrogant characters who are still so very different from each other?<br/>by the way, the love triangle was perfect. perfect. never seen this form of a love triangle before. it's not frustrating, just very heart-breaking but we are already used to this feeling anyway.<br/>Lastly, the plot. Absolutely brilliantly handled. I just love it. 10000 stars.
