Rezension von LiaZuerst, man konnte durch das Buch wirklich fliegen. Der Schreibstil war so locker und leicht zu lesen, was ich richtig gut fand. Auf der andern Seite habe ich mir jedoch etwas mehr Tiefe der Welt und der Charaktere gewünscht. Die Monster heißen einfach nur Monster, das wars. Meiner Meinung nach viel zu allgemein gehalten. Teils geschieht mir die Handlung auch viel zu schnell, Situationen lösen sich zu schnell auf und es geht direkt weiter. Joan trauert zwar aber irgendwie dann doch nicht wirklich. Die Gefühle sind leider bei allen oberflächlich. Ab hier btw Spoiler!! Ich habe ja so gehofft, dass Nick stirbt oder irhendwas in der Art, dass sie sich für immer vergessen. Aber nicht, dass Aron und Joan sich vergessen. Generell finde ich den Plottwist extrem komisch, wie soll jemand einen lieben, bei diesem Wissen? Das kann nicht funktionieren und wird sie nur belasten bzw verrückt machen. Warum nicht Aron? Ich habe die ganze Zeit kaum eine Verbindung zwischen ihr und Nick gespürt. Alles wirkte nur aus Zwang, kein bisschen romantisch oder schön. Ich weiß nicht ob die Autorin beabsichtigt hat, ein happy end zu erschaffen, meiner Meinung ist es ihr nicht gelungen. Ich bin einfach nur so frustriert, an sich auch genial, dass eine Autorin es schafft, dass man einen Charakter so hassen kann. Also was Nick getrifft, dass er praktisch reseted wurde ändert meiner Meinung nach auch nichts daran- er ist mir so unsympathisch. Aus diesem Grund werde ich wahrscheinlich den zweiten Teil auch nicht lesen, ich würde Aron einfach zu sehr vermissen. Deren Geschichte hat sich wenigstens entwickelt, die von ihr und Nick? Nur noch verschlimmert.

Rezension von Anna4,5 / 5 Great and solid book. Joan seemed naive and slightly annoying at the beginning but considering the circumstances that was understanding and I could look past that. Loved that there wasn't much focus on the romance. It's not like the plot had much room for it anyway, so that worked out quite well. The time travelling aspects of the book had some great concepts. My only issue is that calling the time traveler families "monsters" doesn't really make sense in my head. But that's 100% a me-thing. A lot of unanswered questions at the end so I am excited for book 2!
