I cried. I laughed. I screamed. the plot-twists were incredible and the reveals had me shocked. i loved these flawed but perfect characters. rebecca I am terrified of you.

Teilweise sehr nervenaufreibend, wunderschön und spannend zugleich🌶️✨☁️ Tolle Charaktere mit nem nicen Development… lange nicht so viel Spaß und Freude gehabt ein Buch zu lesen. Hab mich jeden Abend echt gefreut! Und ne Story die ich so auch noch nicht gelesen habe - ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen!🩷
Reviewed by Lea-Sophie2.5 ⭐️ „In the likely Event“ handelt von Izzy und Nate, die sich 2011 das erste Mal begegnen. Sie sitzen zufällig nebeneinander im Flugzeug und verstehen sich auf Anhieb. Das Flugzeug stürzt dann plötzlich in den Missouri River und Nate ist maßgeblich an der Rettung von Izzy beteiligt. Danach verlieren sie sich erstmal aus den Augen, weil Nate beim Militär ist und ständig unterwegs ist, halten jedoch den Kontakt über die Jahre. 2021 treffen sie sich dann zufällig wieder in einem Kriegsgebiet und die Gefühle der vergangenen Jahre kommen wieder hoch. Können sie aufarbeiten, warum es die ganzen letzten Jahre nicht geklappt hat? Ich fand die Idee des Buches sehr gut und liebe Second Chance Romance. Allerdings hatte ich schon zu Beginn des Buches das Gefühl, dass sich in den Zeitsprüngen vieles wiederholt. Es sind ständig dieselben Probleme und irgendwie habe ich auch nicht verstanden, warum Nate seine Arbeit über alles stellt, wenn er eigentlich mit Izzy zusammen sein will. Über die vielen Jahre müsste da eigentlich eine Lösung gefunden werden können… Deshalb hat für mich die ganze Story irgendwie gehakt. Und ich habe mich auf ein wesentlich emotionaleres Buch eingestellt, natürlich sind Kriegsszenarien immer emotional, aber für mich kam das leider nicht bei mir als Leserin an. Leider keine Empfehlung meinerseits
