How to End a Love Story is a sweet story with potential, but had a few stumbling blocks for me. The third-person writing style made reading bumpy in places and created a certain distance to the characters. I also found it difficult to get started. For my taste, the dark chapters and the protagonist's difficult back story stood in stark contrast to the sudden transition to the Spice scenes, which felt unbalanced. In addition, I couldn't fully comprehend many of the main characters' decisions, which made it difficult for me to build a deeper connection with them. If you can look past these points, you still get a charming romance with some nice moments. For me, it was okay overall, but not quite perfect.
2.5⭐️ the author is very talented and knows what she is doing. Beautiful writing but not my cup of tea. Couldn’t connect to the characters and I got bored sometimes. But I can see why people love the book.
