4,5/5⭐️ Wahnsinnig tiefgründige Gedichte, die einem nicht so schnell aus dem Kopf gehen ❤️
That was quite good. I definetly got invested. The reason I´m giving four stars is that I didn´t like one quarter of the book. That is because it sadly triggered me badly. There are definetly a lot of triggering aspects in the book (if someone asks I can write them in the comments so everyone is prepared) but sadly my personal trigger cancer was in there a lot which made me enjoy this book less..

I spontaneously re-read this poetry collection yesterday and somehow enjoyed it a lot less than when I read it a few years ago. I don’t quite remember what it was that made me so intrigued with the book back then, but this time I found it rather shallow. I liked the way the author is talking about her personal, often alarmingly devastating experiences (huge trigger warning!) as it felt like accompanying her on her journey towards healing. Her words contain very significant messages and address lots of tough, yet important topics, but I somehow still didn’t find them profound or vivid enough to actually touch me. It felt more like flipping through journal entries than actual poetry. What seemed to be turning most of the writings into poems was her simply starting a new paragraph after each word (which, of course, might not be true, but it’s how I perceived it honestly). Overall, I truly believe that the author processed the darker times of her past in this book and I am thankful for people like her sharing their trauma and experiences, but as a work of poetry it sadly didn’t stand out to me in any way.
