I liked this retelling! Similar to Stoneblind by Natalie Haynes, this also strays from the classic retelling by having a feminist view of the story. I am not knowledgeable enough in classics to argue the rights and wrongs, however I do trust Costanza Casati to know what she is writing about. I always admired Clytemnestra for avenging her daughter's death, as this showed, that for her the death of her daughter was more important than the war, the will of the gods or the fate of her husband. (When I believed her to love her husband) I disliked her for killing Cassandra since she is also a favourite of mine. This retelling gave me all I wanted. PS: I cried three days in a row riding the bus to work reading this book. And I don't care that people saw!!
