Rezension von MickiDie Story um die Gefahr, in der das Königreich Inys schwebt, die Gegensätze von "Ost" und "West" und die zwischen der Draconic Army/wyrms und den Lacrustine Dragons kommt, wie die Rezension vor mir schon bemerkt hat, etwas schleppend in Gang. Dann jedoch nimmt die Handlung an Fahrt auf. In meinen Augen kamen immer zum richtigen Zeipunkt interessante neue Plot twists hinzu. Die Autorin hatte hier ausgezeichnete und unerwartete Ideen, das Lesen war so echt abwechslungsreich. Treffend ist die Sunday Times Beschreibung als "Feminist Lord of the Rings": Denn die zahlreichen starken Frauenfiguren, egal ob sie zur "guten" oder "schlechten" Seite zählen, sind sehr erfrischend. Ein Stern fehlt, weil ich mir nach dem Vergleich mit LOTR wohl doch etwas mehr versprochen habe und dieser als Fantasy-Klassiker für mich persönlich doch noch deutlich darüber steht. Ich kann mir aber sehr gut vorstellen, dass tiefere Fantasie Fans und Drachenstory-Liebhaber auch volle 5/5 in diesem Roman entdecken können!
Rezension von simply_yThe start was slow and the rapid POV changes made it hard to get it all together. I really appreciated the very own voice of each POV–although having the same style, they were very unique. Personally preferred Ez and Sabran in late game! The middle part was slow as f*ck, but it all came together nicely. ***************** MINI-SPOILER ***************** I doubted that there will be heroes left by the time the Nameless One supposedly raised, since people are unalived left and right 🤣
