Rezension von MichelleLucy Clarke zählt zu meinen absoluten Lieblingsautorinnen. Dieses Buch konnte mich jedoch nicht so sehr catchen wie andere von ihr. Ich habe eine Weile gebraucht um in die Geschichte reinzukommen. Eine richtige Sogwirkung ist erst im letzten Viertel entstanden. Es kommen viele harte Themen vor (z.B. Abtreibung, sexuelle Gewalt, der Tod eines Elternteils), die teilweise nicht wirklich aufgearbeitet wurden. Die Kulisse und das Setting waren ein Traum. Meine Vermutungen haben sich nicht bestätigt, mit der Auflösung habe ich nicht gerechnet, sie hat aber auch keinen Wow-Effekt ausgelöst. Alles in allem ein gutes Buch, welches mich unterhalten konnte - auch wenn ich andere Bücher der Autorin mehr empfehlen würde 🤭
