Honestly I knew how this would end since that‘s spoiled in the name of the book but I was still so mad, I caught myself rooting for Matteo and Rufus so much that I just wished for another ending. This book to me was about finding yourself, grief, friendship, love and so much more. It also leaves you with the question would you like to know the day of if today was the day you died and if you knew what would you do on your last day, how would you spend it. I really enjoyed their story and all the little „side stories“ you get during the book. This has been ob my tbr for so long and I am more than happy than I finally read it.

This book destroyed me emotionally but was so so beautiful at the same time. It made me realize I'm not living my life to the fullest, not even close. We take time for granted even though it all can be over any minute. Definitely worth a read!

I know I am too old for YA books, and English is not my first language. But what on earth was that? I can live with the fact that there is zero explanation of how Death Cast works. But I could not relate to the Carpe Diem theme that is so rubbed in my face without any refinement. Purely transactional. We know from the first page on that they will fall in love. Is this process in any way shown or even explored? No. Worst of all was the terrible language. Inconsistent (yes I know, to illustrate the different characters) and very hollow. Don’t believe the hype.
