Rezension von ChrisLa verdad es que no tengo una clara opinión sobre el libro. No me ha parecido ni muy bueno ni muy malo. Empecé a leerlo casi con miedo de que fuera tan pesado y denso como siempre se oía decir, pero es tan famoso que también me picó la curiosidad saber por qué lo es. He de decir que el principio superó mis expectativas. Comienza con una intriga que no es resuelta hasta el final. La historia, en general, da muchas vueltas y es difícil saber con exactitud lo que va a pasar. Los personajes son bastante planos y muchos sólo están ahí para rellenar el hueco, exceptuando los tres/cuatro con más importancia, además de que ninguno es completamente bueno o completamente malo, por lo que es difícil anticiparse a lo que hace cada uno. La forma de escribir también da muchos saltos: hay páginas que se hacen amenas de leer, otras están llenas de frases cortas que aceleran la lectura, y de pronto aparecen páginas enteras con párrafos densos bien sobre la arquitectura de la catedral o sobre pensamientos y comidas de olla de los personajes. Además llega un punto en el que el desarrollo se hace repetitivo; es un flujo constante y muy marcado de "problema, solución, problema, solución, problema" relacionado con la catedral que hace que en ese aspecto no sea muy difícil saber cuándo la historia va a dar de nuevo un giro. Infinitamente largo, pero lectura entretenida si tienes tiempo suficiente y nada mejor que hacer.
