The book was so horrible at the beginning I wanted to broke up several times but I kept reading and I never expected that this sh!t got better. Rina Kent has never disappointed me I liked the plot it was very interesting and thrilling but I didin’t like the Main Characters very much. Anika let her self threatened like a doll, even though she should know better her status. Creighton was kinda of cute and kind of annoying I don’t know more like weird. Again Crazy plot twists that left me speechless. I wanted a pov from Elsa especially because we also had one from the others. I made it in one day because I didn’t really enjoy the book and tried to read so fast as I can to read hopefully the better part of the Lagacy’s

dnf at 65% The name of the book was truly a spot on because i was indeed in pain while reading it because of how freaking boring, nonsense, cringe and disgusting it was. The whole purpose of me reading it was to get rid of this stupid reading slump by reading a trashy, stupid and cringe book so maybe i'd be ravenous for a true book and true story to be told, so because how freaking desperate i was i chose a dark romance book ( because this's what DR books are, bunch of trashy and disgusting books and stupid characters written by morley questionable people who needs help ). So because i had this book with me for almost two years now and never touched it before i thought it would be the good option and tbh? it was! because oh my god how a freaking garbage it was. NOTHING made any sense like nothing, those two characters? absolutely b o r i n g, with each other or without each other like i was rolling my eyes every single chapter especially Annika's chapters, this girl is a fucking child i swear, the way she dress? talk? think? speaks and behaves?? CHILD! that's why you need to stay at your papa and mama home kiddo because you are a fucking child or AT LEAST a teenager, her character literally revolve around being the hoe to Creighton and spoiled fucking child. Literally no character depth whatsoever ( the two of them ) just why the fuck would a 20 year old man acts like a fucking 40 old man Mafia boss?? " you're my good girl " to the 17 year old stupid girl btw, like Rina tf is wrong with you? please tell me when you're gonna drop that pen down from your hand? and when you're gonna be locked up because wtf!?!! this's literally borderline pedophilia!! and don't make me start on the SA that's happened in ch 8, the way Rina romanticize grape and SA like her life depends on it should be studied. Just please tell when and how they fall in love? all i see is some sex addicts and so fucking boring ( non existent) dynamic and chemistry between both of them, the whole thing between them revolve around ( sex, dominant and submissive kind of thing, toxic possessiveness, non existent logic from both of them but especially from Annika, a joke of a revenge and Annika crying day and night of how she's not a kid anymore ), the whole book was the definition of how Rina is FORCING these trashy and bland characters to appear complex and unhinged, zero complexity and development, just bunch of spoiled rich kids that’s they want to appear bad people and cool ( spoiler, they’re not cool in the freaking slightest it’s actually embarrassing) Contradictions and contradictions and a lot of contradictions, and A LOT of brain rot.

„Ich würde lieber sterben, als ohne dich zu leben“ Für mich ist Rina Kent definitiv DIE Dark Romance Autorin. Sie hat eine Welt erschaffen, die mir teilweise die Luft zum Atmen nimmt. Ihr Schreibstil ist so super, und man kommt schnell in die Geschichte rein. Sie gibt jedem Charakter eine eigene Persönlichkeit, und ich liebe es, wie sie kleine Anspielungen auf andere Pärchen macht. Ich habe tatsächlich erst mit der Reihe „Legacy of Gods“ angefangen, werde aber definitiv die anderen Bücher von ihr ebenfalls lesen.

Gutes Buch mit spicy Szenen, spannender Handlung und unerwarteten Twists. Nicht so gut wie der erste Band und gegen Ende etwas zäh aber alles in allem gut :)
