If you would’ve asked me what love meant before reading this book I would have answered with describing the connection you feel towards the person you love the most, but after reading this book my answer changed to how close and how much time you would want to spend with a person. I’ve never cried this much for a mafia book, Asya’s story made me sob so hard as Neva Altaj described reality for women in an awful way, this must be the saddest book of the series and the story following pasha as he lost the only person he had after being lonely all of his life and thinking the first person that gave him hope left him made me crash out in fury. (Wow how am I so poetic) this book made the braincells that I’ve lost due to social media return back to me, I genuinely adore this book so much. This is one of the Mafia books that contained a great plot, was really emotional and had a great comeback!
Pasha is such a green flag!
3.25⭐️ I liked it. I just wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending. I didn’t really like the Age gap aspect… again. I fear it’s really just me atp
dnf at 64% since i regretted not dnfing ruined secrets i decided i wont torture myself until the end of this book. at the beginning i thought pavel would be great but he just annoyed me further into the book. i feel terrible but asya was insufferable. what she endured was hell but i don’t know, she was just so annoying. their dynamic gave me the creeps as well. it was really obvious that she was only 18, she really acted like it. and i don’t know, he gave me the feeling of a guardian and the way he lusted over her didn’t sit right with me. like he repeatedly mentioned her age and that she was so young and delicate but proceeded to get with her. just no the whole book (of what i’ve read) just gave me the ick.
the patience and understanding pasha had for asya
