Reviewed by JennieGuter start ins Rina Kent-Universum. Ich hatte schon einiges über die Royal-Elite-Reihe gehört und dachte, ich gebe dem Ganzen mal eine Chance. Was soll ich sagen? Es hat mich von der ersten Seite an gefesselt. Die Dynamik zwischen Astrid und Levi ist intensiv und voller Spannung. Astrid, die eigentlich ein unauffälliges Leben an der Royal Elite School führt, gerät plötzlich ins Visier von Levi King, dem unangefochtenen Herrscher der Schule. Ihre Interaktionen sind ein ständiges Hin und Her zwischen Anziehung und Abstoßung, was die Seiten nur so dahinfliegen ließ.   Allerdings muss ich zugeben, dass einige Szenen ziemlich “heftig” waren. Das Buch enthält Themen wie Mobbing und andere sensible Inhalte, die für manche Leser*innen triggernd sein könnten. Es ist definitiv kein leichtes und sollte mit Vorsicht gelesen werden. Trotzdem konnte ich das Buch kaum aus der Hand legen. Die Charakterentwicklung, insbesondere bei Levi, hat mich beeindruckt. Man bekommt einen Einblick in seine Beweggründe und warum er so handelt, wie er es tut. Das hat ihn für mich greifbarer und menschlicher gemacht.  Es ist intensiv, fesselnd und lässt einen so schnell nicht mehr los.
