One of the best Books from LJ Shen! He is so obsessed with her, too cute!

I read this is 1 day! My fa prote read of 2026 so far!

There was so much going on in this book, I don't even know where to begin. This started as a tragic situation happening to the FMC resulting into a marriage of convenienc to a brutal MMC . Even though the FMC doesnt really talk in the first half of the book, she quickly let's her new husband know she will not put up any bs. The character development is superb. You get secrets coming to light, blackmail, carnage, deception and passion. Dont get me wrong, there are some parts that are tough to read (check your triggers) but if you can power thriugh it, this book gets so good. I cant wait for the second one.

Finally I#m able to sit down and share my thoughts about an ohter Book of exactly this one author here. If you follow my reviews longe you know that Miss Shen is a Romance Authors wich books i really enjoy. Seeing that she is going Back to her roots with a whole Series. I'ts been nearly a week since i finished this book. Pageturners turning in to a Marterpeace seems like an olympic displin thta this author masters ervy time for me. This time again i was caughtfrom the first Sentence. A thing wich this Autour Masters in each of her book is finding intense Story entries. This read again starts with a bang. The title of this first was choosen great. This intncese strating Scenes are often showng us the MMCs in some scenens wich are her getting us readers intrigued in reading. An ohter Supeer of Miss Shen is making us understnad Man and love them where in real life You'd say Great that you're interested in me but you've alot work to bwfore we could be a thing. Getting Callaghan's pionr of view after meeting his as the Villaain in i her last Book handsome devil was intesresting. Again Miss Shen made understand an ohter Hero in his bookb where i thought this Chrachter couldn't bel liked by us readers but getting in his Head made his actions Unterstandible. The Story arc left enaugh room for the characters to develop themselfs. They way in wich character act to each other are realistic to us readers. The way in wich the story builds up from the first scene is diffferent to ohter Worlds from her. The build up of this Story was amazing. We learned a lot about the miss Shens Mafia World. Tiernan our favourite Irish Mob Boss is really Complex. He is a man who went trough a lot to be like he is in Now. The Man knows what he has to do get to to his goals. Feelings seem to be nohting to for him. Following his plans is something does. If you're important to he does a lot for you Lila is a young woman who fights against her demons. Strong is a word i'd use to discribe her. Life is throwing things at her and she fights them in her own way. To conclude i can say that this dip in to this new world created by this author had been an amazing read. There is a special feeling if you read a start to a new Mafia series by Miss Shen wich is going back to the roots for her. Emotinal Rollercaosters between characters are an specaility of this author wich are coming in here. If your are in to intense well told Story this book is defnitly for you.
