Reviewed by Valentina StevicThe book was so different from the TV series, but I absolutely loved it. It was exciting and well-written. There wasn't a single part where I felt it dragged. The epilogue was great too. I'm sad to be leaving this series behind, but I'm looking forward to everything that's coming next.

Reviewed by AnnaIch glaube ich habe für die The Mortal Instruments Reihe wohl gut und gerne zehn Jahre gebraucht. Sehr lange hat mich die Geschichte von Cassandra Clare begleitet und letztlich nie losgelassen, denn ich wollte immer wissen, wie es zu Ende gehen wird. In "City of Heavenly Fire" stehen unsere Freunde vor ihrem letzten Kampf gegen Sebastian und seine Dämonen. Sie alle haben unglaublich viel zu verlieren und kämpfen verbissen, um irgendwie zu einer Lösung zu kommen. Doch kann das ohne Verluste gelingen? Ich bin unfassbar schnell durch dieses Buch gekommen. Auch wenn es lange her ist, dass ich Band 5 gelesen habe, hatte ich keine Probleme damit, wieder in die Handlung hineinzufinden. Die Spannung war fast durchgehend gegeben und alle wichtigen Personen hatten in diesem Buch noch eine Rolle. Die Geschichte hätte meiner Meinung nach aber durchaus etwas kürzer sein können. Ich habe doch recht deutlich gemerkt, dass die neue "Dark Artifices"-Reihe damit vorbereitet werden soll. Was natürlich für diese Trilogie toll ist, für die eigentliche Handlung aber nicht wirklich nützlich. Gegen Ende habe ich dann doch noch einige Tränen vergossen und hätte dieses Ende wirklich toll gefunden. Dass der Epilog hier noch etwas entscheidendes ändert fand ich schade. Dennoch ein toller Abschluss!
