It was such a lovely book with a really cute story 💕 But honestly… the love triangle between America, Maxon, and Aspen was so frustrating 😩 like girl, please just choose Maxon already!! Still, I’m super excited to start the third book 📚✨
immer noch süße story, aber irgendwie wiederholt sich alles etwas zu sehr
Hat sich alles ziemlich in die Länge gezogen
Loved it nearly as much as the first book. Felt like I was 16 again.
America spends most of this book bouncing between Aspen and Maxon, leading both of them on only to push them away again. After a while, it gets frustrating, and the dialogue definitely feels a bit childish at times. The section about the first king’s diary dragged on—it didn’t add much and felt more like filler than anything meaningful. And the rebels? At this point it feels like they attack every other chapter. Honestly, someone needs to invest in snipers or better security because it’s getting ridiculous. America is even more indecisive and petty in this installment, which makes it harder to root for her. And Marlee… don’t even get me started. She was one of my favorite characters, and what happened to her was completely undeserved. The fact that Maxon just allowed it to happen was gross and honestly a huge red flag. She deserved so much better.
