Yngra Wieland

Yngra Wieland (born 1961) studied classical dance and dance pedagogy and performed with state theatres as well as independent modern-dance and show-dance companies. She managed an art gallery and worked, among other roles, as a communications assistant and manager for music television channels. She also worked as a naturopath specializing in psychotherapy and as a lecturer, and published specialist articles. Her writing includes novels and guides on psychological topics. She is also known for her historical novels about Jakoba, a cooper’s daughter, including “Der Tanz der Schäfflerin” and “Das Geheimnis der Flößerin,” which are set in 17th-century Munich.
