Yann Lepennetier (born 1954 in Marseille) is a comic-book writer. He began his career at the age of 20 as an artist on the series “Carte Blanche” in the youth magazine “Spirou”, but soon turned to writing comic scripts. With Didier Conrad, he created, among other series, “Les Innommables” and “Bob Marone”. Under the pseudonym Balac, he wrote the first scripts for Yslaire’s series “Sambre”. His other work includes “Theodore Poussin” with Frank Le Gall, “Marsupilami” with Batem, “Pin-Up” with Philippe Berthet, and “Tako” with Michetz. He also continued established series such as “Lucky Luke”, “Spirou and Fantasio”, “XIII Mystery”, and “The Worlds of Thorgal”.
