Wolfgang Pohrt

Wolfgang Pohrt was a German sociologist, journalist, and writer. From 1974 to 1980, he worked at a higher-education institution in Lüneburg, and subsequently pursued a career as a journalist and author. He became known in part for his critical examination of the peace movement. Commissioned by the Hamburg Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Culture, Pohrt prepared a study on German mass consciousness during and after reunification. A 13-volume collected edition brings together his writings.
