Wolfgang Metzger

Wolfgang Metzger (born in 1953 in Mühlacker, Germany) is a German illustrator. After training as a lithographer, he studied graphic design with a focus on illustration in Pforzheim. He initially worked as an illustrator of schoolbooks before turning primarily to the design and illustration of children's books. As a long-time illustrator for Ravensburger, he helped shape the publisher's popular board books about construction vehicles. He also illustrated titles in the nonfiction picture-book series “Wieso? Weshalb? Warum?”. Metzger is the father of four daughters.
