Wolfgang Bunzel (born 1960) studied modern German literature, comparative literature and philosophy in Regensburg and Munich. He worked as a research assistant at TU Dresden, served as editor of the International Yearbook of the Bettine von Arnim Society, and was head of the Romanticism Research Department at the Freies Deutsches Hochstift and Frankfurt Goethe Museum. He taught modern German literature at Goethe University Frankfurt. His scholarly and editorial work includes German Romanticism, the historical-critical edition of Clemens Brentano’s complete works and the letters of Bettine von Arnim. In 2015, he curated the exhibition “Paradise Garden of the Imagination – Sculptures by Liesel Metten.”
