Bernadette Reinhold

Bernadette Reinhold is a scholar of art history with a doctorate. She studied history and philosophy in Vienna and worked from 1991 to 2008 as an independent research associate with the Federal Monuments Authority in Vienna, its Commission for Provenance Research, and the Austrian Academy of Sciences. From 2008 onward, she worked at the Institute for Art Collections and Archives at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and headed the Oskar Kokoschka Centre. Her research focuses on modern art and architecture, Austrian cultural policy, biography studies, and the work of Oskar Kokoschka. She has published widely and, in 2021, co-edited the volume “Oskar Kokoschka: Neue Einblicke und Perspektiven / New Insights and Perspectives” with Régine Bonnefoit.
