Wolfgang Bendel

Wolfgang Bendel was born in Traunstein, Bavaria. He studied pharmacy and subsequently worked in public pharmacies and in Argentina’s pharmaceutical industry. Extended stays in South America, language studies in Ecuador and Brazil, and his interest in Latin America shaped his publishing work. His book “Der phantastische Kontinent,” dealing with political and social issues in Latin America, was published in 2009. Together with Dominik Schwarzenberger, Bendel also worked as editor, author, and translator on “Terra incognita – Das andere Amerika. Identitäre Strömungen und Bestrebungen in Lateinamerika.” He also contributed to journals including “hier & jetzt” and the “Deutsche Zeitung” (São Paulo).
