Wolf Schneider

Wolf Schneider (1925–2022) was a German journalist, television presenter, and author of 27 nonfiction books. He worked as a Washington correspondent for Süddeutsche Zeitung, publishing director of Stern, and editor-in-chief of Die Welt. He also hosted an NDR talk show and headed the Hamburg School of Journalism, also known as the Henri Nannen School, for 16 years. Schneider published influential books on language, style, and journalism and conducted language seminars for the press, business, and public authorities. His honors included the Media Prize for Language Culture, the Henri Nannen Prize for lifetime achievement, and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
