Wioletta Greg, whose real name is Grzegorzewska, was born in 1974 in Koziegłowy, Poland. She published seven collections of poetry and three novels. Her novel *Unripe Fruit* appeared in English as *Swallowing Mercury* and was included on the 2017 Man Booker International Longlist. Greg was also nominated for the Griffin Poetry Prize and Poland’s Nike Award. Her work has been translated into numerous languages.
