Wilhelm Rotthaus

Dr. Wilhelm Rotthaus is a physician specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, as well as a systemic teaching therapist. He studied medicine in Freiburg, Paris and Bonn, and also studied music in Cologne. From the 1980s through the early 2000s, he headed the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Rheinische Kliniken Viersen. From 1998 to 2006, he was founding chair and president of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Systemische Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie, and from 2000 to 2007 he chaired the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Systemische Therapie und Familientherapie. His publications include “Wozu erziehen,” “Systemische Kinder- und Jugendlichenpsychotherapie,” “Ängste von Kindern und Jugendlichen” and “Suizidhandlungen von Kindern und Jugendlichen.”
