Vera Loos (born 1955 in Saarlouis, Germany) studied applied linguistics, foreign languages and art history at Saarland University and the University of Nantes. After completing her studies, she headed a company’s translation service and worked as a freelance literary translator and visual artist. Her translations from Hebrew include numerous novels, among them works by David Grossman, Batya Gur, Amos Oz and Meir Shalev.
