Varda Hasselmann

Varda Hasselmann (born 1946) studied literature and medieval studies and initially prepared for an academic career as a medievalist. She subsequently turned to her claimed mediumistic abilities and began working as a trance medium in 1983. Together with Frank Schmolke, she published the books *Worlds of the Soul* and *Archetypes of the Soul*. She also wrote novels such as *The Soul of the Papaya* and *The Weighing of the Soul*, as well as nonfiction and short stories.
