Uwe Walter

Uwe Walter (born 1969) is a German author, journalist, and photographer. He has written several books on the history and structure of the German Bundeswehr, particularly its units and formations in Hesse and other German states. Raised in northern Hesse, he witnessed major military exercises involving the Bundeswehr and its NATO partners during his childhood and youth. These experiences shaped his interest in the military history of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Cold War.
