Uwe Erichsen

Uwe Erichsen (born 9 August 1936 in Rheydt) is a German novelist and screenwriter. From 1974 onward, he worked as a freelance writer, sometimes using a pseudonym, and wrote around 240 novel booklets and paperback novels, including westerns, spy thrillers and Jerry Cotton novels. He also contributed short stories and serial fiction to magazines. His novel “Das Leben einer Katze” was adapted for film in 1988 under the title “Die Katze”. As a screenwriter, Erichsen worked on television productions including “Auf Achse”, “Der Fahnder”, “Großstadtrevier”, “Tatort” and “Ein Fall für zwei”. In 2018, he co-wrote the screenplay for the Cologne-set “Tatort” episode “Bausünden” with Wolfgang Wysocki.
