Ute Cantera-Lang was born in Erlangen in 1974. She studied music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Following numerous stays abroad, she worked as an interpreter for Spanish and English. Together with Rawezh Salim, she translated from Kurdish (Sorani).
