Uta Depner

Uta Depner studied social pedagogy and completed a distance-learning course in travel journalism at the Free School of Journalism in Berlin. She worked for many years as a bookseller. She spent part of her school years in Kenya and Ethiopia, and also became acquainted with Senegal, Cameroon and Rwanda during that time. In total, she travelled to more than 30 countries in Africa, Central America, Asia and Europe. She also took part in environmental and social projects in South Africa, Indonesia, India and Togo.
