Ursula Ulrike Kaiser, born in 1971, studied Protestant Theology and Modern German Literature in Berlin and Bern. She received her doctorate in New Testament in 2005 and completed her habilitation in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, she was an academic councillor at the Institute of Protestant Theology at the University of Duisburg-Essen. In 2019, she took up a professorship in Biblical Theology and its Didactics at TU Braunschweig; in 2023, she became Professor of New Testament and chair holder at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Kaiser is an ordained minister in the Protestant Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia and a Godly Play trainer.
