Torsten Lange

Torsten Lange studied architecture as well as the history and theory of architecture at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Bartlett School of Architecture in London, where he received his doctorate in 2015. He taught cultural and architectural history at Lucerne University of the Arts. His research focuses include the conditions of production of the built environment in late socialism and the spatial practices of queer subcultures. He co-edited the volume “Re-Framing Identities: Architecture’s Turn to History” (2017), the special issue “Architectural Historiography and Fourth Wave Feminism” (2020), and “Care: gta papers 7” (2022).
