Tomer Gardi

Tomer Gardi, born in 1974 in Kibbutz Dan in Galilee, studied literature and education in Tel Aviv and Berlin. His literary essay “Stein, Papier” was published in Hebrew in 2011 and in German translation in 2013. His debut novel, “Broken German,” appeared in 2016, followed by “Sonst kriegen Sie Ihr Geld zurück” (2019) and “Eine runde Sache.” Gardi received the 2022 Leipzig Book Fair Prize for “Eine runde Sache.” The radio play based on “Broken German” won the German Radio Play Prize of the ARD in 2017, while “Die Feuerbringer – Eine Schlager-Operetta” was named Radio Play of the Month in the same year.
