Tom Segev

Tom Segev, born in Jerusalem in 1945, became known as an Israeli historian and journalist. In Germany, he gained wider recognition with The Seventh Million: The Israelis and the Holocaust (1995). His other major books include Once Upon a Palestine (2005), 1967: Israel, the War, and the Year That Transformed the Middle East (2007), and The First Israelis (2008). He received the National Jewish Book Award for Once Upon a Palestine.
