Tom Franklin

Tom Franklin, born in Dickinson, Alabama, in 1963, is an award-winning writer. He financed his studies through jobs in warehouses, factories, and a hazardous-waste dump before beginning his writing career. His first novel, “Die Gefürchteten,” was published in the German-speaking market in 2005. In 2011, “Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter” appeared on the New York Times bestseller list. Franklin received several awards for his literary work, including the German Crime Fiction Prize in 2019. He taught at the University of Mississippi.
