Tina Harnesk (born 1984) grew up in Jokkmokk in northern Sweden. She worked as a librarian alongside her writing. Harnesk is Sami, and her Indigenous heritage and the oral storytelling tradition of her people are reflected in her work. Her debut novel is *When We Picked Flowers in the Snow*.
