Timothy Garton Ash (born 1955) is a British historian and author. He taught European Studies at the University of Oxford and was a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. His books include “Redefreiheit. Prinzipien für eine vernetzte Welt,” “Ein Jahrhundert wird abgewählt. Europa im Umbruch 1980–1990,” and “Europa. Eine persönliche Geschichte.”
