Tim Engartner is a social scientist whose work focuses on economics education and the teaching of social sciences. He has held professorships at the University of Cologne and Goethe University Frankfurt. His distinctions include the 1822 University Prize for Excellence in Teaching, the Günter Reimann Science Prize, the Gregor Louisoder Environmental Foundation Award, and the German Study Prize. Engartner was a visiting scholar at Columbia University and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. His articles have appeared, among other publications, in Die Zeit, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung, taz, and Freitag.
